UN Women is a United Nations agency on gender equality and the advancement of women, established in 2010 through the merger of four United Nations agencies.

About WEP

Businesses around the world promote gender equality and the full participation and leadership of women in the workplace, market and community. UN Women and UN Global Compact encourage companies of all sizes, in all countries, industries and sectors, to take action towards gender equality with women’s empowerment principles.

UN Women has been present in Serbia since 2006 (under the name UNIFEM).

The companies that signed these principles were committed to promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment among their employees, but also in relation to business partners, suppliers, and entrepreneurs.
